Southwest Washington PWL, Inc., was formed in December 2002, by a small group of citizens who wanted to allow boys and girls the opportunity to participate in the activities of Pop Warner Little Scholars youth football and cheer programs, regardless of race, creed, national origin, or religion. To provide an affordable program by utilizing neighborhood and community sponsors, while practicing the ideals of sportsmanship, physical fitness and team play without the influence of adult ambition or personal glory.
In January 2003, Southwest Washington Pop Warner League Inc., commenced operations in Clark County in anticipation for a Fall 2003 season of Youth Tackle Football and Cheerleading. In just 9 years we have grown to more than 1200 kids in our program locally and we will continue to grow with the support of the parents, our generous sponsors and our community volunteers. In 2012, Portland Pop Warner merged with Southwest Washington Pop Warner to become the Greater Northwest Conference. Our league is now comprised of 76 cheer and football teams in Cowlitz County, Clark County, Multnomah County, Washington County as well as the Seattle and surrounding area!
On June 11th, our coaches attended the USA Heads Up Football clinic. Great turn out and an amazing commitment to the children in our community.

2016 Registration - Tackle football and cheer season starts August 1st!
The Greater Northwest Conference DOES NOT perform or accept registrations. The GNWC covers Clark, Cowlitz, Multonomah and Washington Counties. We now also include 1 association in the Seattle and surrounding area!
The Greater NW Conference is divided into seven associations covering large geographic areas. Our Associations use the local school district boundaries to determine membership in Pop Warner. Each association conducts it's own registration and sets their own pricing for their service area. You will register based on what school district your child attends or based on what school district you reside in. Associations will then create teams based on age, weight and experience within each association.
Each Association may have some specific things that they require, but Pop Warner Little Scholars has information that is required by all players in order to register and participate.Click here to find what Association your child will be a part of.
Have you been seeing these in YOUR Neighborhood?
